Towson will be holding its inaugural Rocktoberfest on October 14. There will be craft beer, live music and much more!
While there are more than a few Oktoberfest events in the Baltimore area, a brand-new event will debut on October 14 in downtown Towson. Rocktoberfest will celebrate the German tradition, with beer gardens, food trucks, arts and crafts, fall produce and more. But, guests can expect a lot more music!
Thousands are expected to attend the free event. Being put on by Towson’s Chamber of Commerce and the Elks Club of Towson, the event is raising money for The Elks Club’s National Service Commission to benefit veterans.
More than 150 vendors will be selling handmade goods, crafts and jewelry, while beer gardens will be serving the finest brews. Guests can expect food trucks to sell delicious food too. The event promises to be fun for the whole family as games will be setup as well.
USAF Rhythm in Blue
Festival goers won’t want to miss the USAF Rhythm in Blue, a jazz ensemble presented by the United States Air Force Heritage of America band. The 13-member unit is made up of the Air Force’s best enlisted musicians who embrace the Jazz style and recruit new listeners as the group relentlessly tours up and down the east coast.
8 Track Mind
Also scheduled to perform are 8 Track Mind, a four-piece rock and soul band who cover classics of the two genres from the eight-track era of the 1970’s.
Bad With Names
The Baltimore Rock cover band Bad With Names — who covers songs by Tom Petty, The Doors, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Radiohead — will be the event’s closer.
