Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary is a 429-acre farm sanctuary in Poolesville, Maryland, that is devoted to providing permanent homes for farm animals and wildlife that were abused, neglected, or injured. The sanctuary began in 1996 and now is the home to over 200 animals including Irwin the pig, Franny the sheep, and Edward the peacock. If you cannot make the Run for Animals, consider donating to the sanctuary! The sanctuary relies on donations from the public to provide a lifetime of love to the animals. You can donate here and can even use your donation to sponsor a farm animal. Your sponsorship provides that animal with daily feed, shelter, and veterinary care, and you can visit your sponsored friend in person!
