Festival of Laughs with Mike Epps
Spend April Fools’ Day doubled over with laughter! Def Comedy Jam vet Mike Epps plus tons of other hilarious comedians will get together at 8 p.m. at Royal Farms Arena. Tickets are selling between $52 – $175.
Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Fest
Grab your forks and your bibs because a whole lotta pig is coming to the Maryland State Fairgrounds. On April 1 (noon to 2 p.m. VIP session) and April 2 (2 p.m. to 6 p.m. regular session). No matter what kind of BBQ you like, it’ll be there, along with samples of 60 beers and 40 bourbons to choose from.
O’s Home Opener
If you bleed black and orange, I’m sure you’re already aware of the Orioles’ home opener, BUT for those of you who aren’t die-hards… it’s on April 4! If you weren’t able to score tickets, there are plenty of nearby bars where you can cheer on your favorite team!
Every bookworm’s dream event is coming to Maryland. On April 15-16, literary lovers can partake in writing panels, readings, critique sessions and plenty of meet-and-greets with literary agents and authors from all over the country. Events run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 16 at the main venue, the University of Baltimore. Free
JHU Spring Fair
Every years Johns Hopkins University undergrads transform their campus into an all-ages friendly fair, complete with food, live music, activities and even a beer garden. Music lovers shouldn’t miss out on the spring concert headliners including Marion Hill, Schwayze and the Chainsmokers! There is a little something for everyone at one of the best Spring Baltimore events! Events from April 15-17!
Fells Point Privateer Festival
Get your Pirate on at Fells Point April 16 & 17! The 12th annual celebration of maritime history, complete with entertainment, privateer reenactments, arts and crafts, live music and a little something to wet your whistle! Events go from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and its all free!
Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy
Half of the Blue Coller Comedy crew are coming to the Royal Farms Arena May 1 to bring laughs with a southern flair to fans! Tickets run from $36.50-$56.50 .
Maryland Film Festival
View over 100 films from all over the world shown in seven venues throuhout the downtown Baltimore and Station North neighborhoods. The Maryland Film Festival is the region’s most popular event of the year, so you should not miss out on one of the best Baltimore events. The festival will run May 4-8, and tickets are $12-$75 — $375 for all-access passes!
Celebrate all that is beautiful about spring! Tons of blooming flowers on display, two stages for entertainment, myriad contests, local food, and shopping from featured vendors; FlowerMart is a perfect Baltimore spring event! FlowerMart runs from May 6-7 and is free!
Kinetic Sculpture Race
If you haven’t attended this event in the past… you need to go this year. Wear your craziest costume and cheer on your fellow humans who will trek close to 15 miles through Baltimore in man-powered amphibious works of art. It truly is as crazy as it sounds! Check out all the action on May 7 at 10 a.m. Starting at the American Visionary Art Museum.
Wine in the Woods
Take the weekend of May 21 – May 22 to WINEd down at this combo nature-meets-winetasting event! With close to 30 Maryland wineries, local vendors and live entertainment on two stages. Events go from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 21; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the 22! Tickets range from $20 to $40.
